Location & surrounding area:
Escorca is the smallest municipality in Mallorca and is situated in the middle of the Tramuntana mountains near to the Lluc monastery, the most spiritual place on the island.
Lluc is located on the well-known GR hiking trail which stretches from south to north through the whole of the Tramuntana mountains. To the north the Tomir mountain can be reached from where Pollanca is accessible, and in the south after crossing the Galileu and Massanella mountains the hiker is rewarded with unique views over the mountain lakes Cuber and Gorg Blau.
A real highlight is the loveliest country road on the island. The MA 10 snakes along the cliffs with permanent views of the mountains and the sea, and winds down to two of the most beautiful bays on the island, Sa Calobra and Cala Es Tuent.
