It is a very well-preserved, historic building that, in addition to 8 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms, has various outdoor terraces, one of them directly on the hillside, overlooking the beautiful valley in the Tramuntana, a new, clean pool, a large outdoor area surrounded by hundreds of years old olive trees, pines and other native flora. The property also has its own water source, which guarantees the water supply in the house by means of a pump. The absolute highlight of the property is a room that was once used to produce olive oil, in which the stone olive press and various other instruments have been preserved. Also fantastic is a smaller room with a huge fireplace, where you can make yourself comfortable even in the cold winter months. This is a house that was still built with thick stone walls, which keep the rooms cool in the hot summer with extreme temperatures and stay cozy and warm in the cold season with central heating and fireplaces. The most popular building is certainly the monastery “Cartuja de Jesús Nazareno”, in which Frederic Chopin and George Sand passed their famous winter months. The saint of the Island Santa Catalina Thómas was born here, and Archduke Luis Salvator of Austria, famous visitor of the Balearic Islands, constructed his beautiful residence Miramar in the surrounding area.
